Like everything else on the planet, the multitude of emotions, core behaviours and thought patterns that make up your consciousness, each vibrate at a certain frequency, like notes in music. To map the link between body, mind and soul, one needs to break it all down and determine how the different parts and movements of the physical body resonate with this multitude of notes.

vibrational body mapping
Are you in tune with your body's music?

In fact, you could think of your consciousness as a multi-dimensional musical score (co-written by you and your Higher-Self), with each site, organ, tissue etc in the body a different instrument in the orchestra. Much of the skill in healing is to be able to feel (hear) the resonance or dissonance of each body site (instrument) vis-à-vis the whole.

Remember that our purpose here is to facilitate congruence between energy and physical body, not to mentally diagnose or extract information from the body and give it to the mind. Reading the body is an art as much as a science.

It’s a dynamic, intuitive and personal map which extends to every distinguishable body site, below are my comments on a few anatomical highlights. The movement planes, body-site matrices, dimensions of consciousness, and emotional threads that weave through all of this, could be the subject of future posts.

Body Orientation

Left side - female resonance and self if woman, other if man

Right side - male resonance and self if man, other if woman

Front - in relation to other (tends to be more known/conscious)

Back - in relation to self (tends to be less known/conscious)

Left = female and self if female.  Right = male and self if male. This applies throughout the map.

Direction of Energy

Enters from top and is intimately related to gravity, in other words, if you can allow gravity to pass through your body in weight bearing without resistance, then you’re allowing energy to flow through you too.

Crown - connection to Source from the crown is retained by most people but often we’re too open here (it’s good idea to try wearing an energy skull cap).

Medulla - Accessed from the nape of the neck, this brain stem area is the single most important body site in healing.  Responsible for regulating “involuntary” bodily functions such as heart rate and breathing, it is also where the soul and the personality meet. It is the primary site where we cut ourselves off from the the body and is almost always too closed.

First Rib - accessed from the top through the trapezius muscle, it’s a key energy entry point, it’s where people are cutting themselves off by pulling their shoulders up towards their ears.

Principle exit point for energy is through the apex of the arches of the feet (where kids naturally put their feet on bicycle pedals).

Upper Body

Jaw -  Anger (esp. the masseter). TMJ issues, grinding teeth in sleep etc means you are holding anger.

Neck  - Control, refusal to turn and see, denial (first cervical vertebrae C1 = support-control confusion)

Brain

This is a complex area of the map, the basic idea is that we tend too have to much energy/awareness in the frontal lobes, the area just behind your forehead, where the mind interacts with the brain and where all the over-thinking/ruminating/fantasising/prohibiting happens.  Allowing the “lower” areas of the brain to come into a balanced awareness is key for healthier whole brain function.

Broadening awareness in the visual cortex (an area at the back of the hemispheres) via the inclusion/registering of peripheral vision is also a crucial step in healing.

Organs

Heart - the basics are: LHS resonates with acceptance (which leads to joy), RHS with forgiveness (which leads to love). Front - relates to other, Back relates to self.

Liver - resonates with Life Purpose (male principle) - holds frustration.

Spleen - resonates with Life itself (female principle) - holds betrayal, unfair.

Lungs  - Loss (often labelled as sadness).  Nexus/anchor point for loss is roughly middle of right lung.

Kidneys - receiving support, left from female, right from male.

Duodenum - holds shame (central point of shame matrix)

Colon/Large Intestine - related to hiding behaviours, crucial body site for clarity between self and other:

Ascending colon - hiding from self for male, hiding from other for female

Descending colon - hiding from self for female, hiding from other for male

Transverse colon - self-other clarity

Thyroid -  problems here suggest displacement/fragmentation in time (to the past) - blame is the issue, forgiveness is the the solution.

Lower Body

Legs - Support - left female/right male again applies so, for example, a male who habitually places his weight on the left leg in standing, cannot support himself.

Knees - Abandonment, LHS-female, RHS-male, medial side = self-abandonment, lateral side = abandonment by other.

Calves - moving forward

Fingers, ribs and toes

The basics are:

Index - Blame

Middle - Heart (shame blockage to heart)

Ring - Empathy and Commitment

Pinky - Compassion (which means not making pain wrong)

each vertebrae has a distinic resonance
Each distinguishable body site has a specific resonance.

The same associations hold for 4 toes (thumb and big toe are separate) and the 12 ribs in groups of 3 paired with the 3 bones (phalanges) of each finger/toe. Each vertebrae, rib and phalange also has a more specific resonance, for example, the fifth rib and medial phalanges of the middle finger and third toe resonate with grief that is known and not yet resolved.  The sixth rib and distal phalanges with karmic/unconscious grief yet to be resolved.

Thumb - the human simian finger.  Delicate energetic awareness here can allow you to tune into your human ape.  Paired with the collar bone. Being human at all.

Big toe - moving forward (it’s critical for push-off in step) again left in regard to “female” right in regard to “male.”

This article is intended to prick your curiosity about how what’s happening inside your body might relate to what’s happening in your life and to share some of the reverence I feel for this endeavour of human cartography.  This is the most superficial of descriptions of the map so if it makes any sense at all, that’s great! In truth it would take a whole article to address just one of any of these body sites…
